After 30 years involvement in CCH, Nic Bliss is stepping down from his role as Head of Policy at the end of March.
Nic became a part of the housing co-operative sector when he joined 20/20 Housing Co-op in Birmingham in 1987. His first soiree into the national movement was in 1992 when he attended a conference in Newcastle for Concerned Co-operators. This was the start of CCH and it was at this conference, that Nic agreed to join its General Council.
CCH was, in those days, a voluntary organisation and Nic put in many, many hours of his own time writing numerous publications, responding to government consultations, organising conferences and supporting our members.
As CCH Chair, Nic played a leading role in the 2014 strategic review which changed the way CCH is resourced and governed; these changes would lead to Nic becoming CCH Head of Policy.
Everyone at CCH would like to thank Nic for his many years of dedication to the movement and wish him the best of luck in his new endeavours; a sentiment shared, we are sure, by many of our members.
