Blase has been a leading player in the UK co-operative and community led housing sector for the last twenty-five years. He is the Chief Officer of the Confederation of Co-operative Housing, is a founder member of Community Led Homes, is the Treasurer of Co-operative Housing International and the sectoral representative on the Board of the International Co-operative Alliance. Blase leads the Four Million Homes programme and CCH's Community Led Housing Accredited Advisor training.

His areas of expertise are corporate governance, risk management and financial control and he has numerous publications to his name.

Jane Cameron ACIM

Communications and Events Associate

Jane has worked in co-operative housing for over 30 years and is the Communications and Events Associate at the Confederation of Co-operative Housing.

Formerly a Director of CCH for 7 years, Jane has also worked with CDS Co-operatives, the UK Cohousing Network, g320 London Smaller HA Group, Co-operative Housing International [the global body for housing co-ops], the Co-operative Housing Finance Society and the Co-operative Party.

Jane is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Helen Bartlett

Associate Consultant -Membership and Research

Helen has been active in the co-operative movement in her home of Brighton & Hove for the past 20 years. She has been a resident and founder member of local housing co-operatives and supported co-operatives and community led housing groups through local and national voluntary networks and as co-ordinator of the community led housing hub, hosted by Brighton & Hove Community Land Trust. She is a community-led homes accredited advisor and is the Programme Manager for Four Million Homes.

Helen's particular areas of interest and expertise are in: governance; participation; equality and diversity; raising finance; and financial planning and sustainability.

Paul Kelly

Associate Consultant

Paul has been working in the field of community development and housing led regeneration for the past 30 years. For twelve years Paul led the community development function of Liverpool Housing Action Trust, a major housing led regeneration initiative, where he first started to work to support communities to take control of their housing.

Since then, Paul has worked on Merseyside’s Housing Market Renewal Programme, as Community Empowerment Manager with Community Gateway Association and recently worked to establish Breaking Ground, the Liverpool City Region Community-led Housing Hub. Paul is a community-led homes accredited advisor

Paul was a founder member and Company Secretary of Homebaked Community Land Trust between 2012 to 2020 and has been a Fellow of the RSA since 2006. Paul joined the Board of the National Community Land Trust Network in January 2021. Paul is a trainer with the Four Million Homes programme.

Paula Farrow BA Hons Housing Studies

Associate Consultant

Paula has over 30 years of experience in the co-operative housing sector. She has been the Chair of Minster Housing Co-operative for over 30 years.

In her volunteering role at CDS Co-operatives, she is the Founder member Chair of five co-operatives, was on the CDS board of management for 15 years, and previous to this was a member of their Housing Services Sub-committee.

She is an employed Associate Consultant for various co-operatives assisting them with governance and procedural improvements.

After recently completing her 9 year term of office as the Chair of CCH, Paula is now a CCH Associate Consultant providing member training, support and advice. She is an independent advisor to both co-operatives and managing agents for appeals and complaints panels.

Paula has an HND in Housing and obtained a first class honours degree in Housing Management at the University of Kent.

James Neward

Retrofit Associate

James is a Chartered Architectural Technologist with expertise in low carbon architecture, fabric energy performance, bio-based materials & community led projects. An experienced Retrofit Designer responsible for delivering a range of environmentally conscious residential, commercial and community buildings since graduating in 2008.

He’s developed a track record of delivering innovative new build and renovation projects and is a specialist in design, technical detailing and practical construction of whole building retrofits built with hempcrete, strawbale, wood fibre and other low carbon, renewable materials.

Familiar with a varied set of building archetypes including Listed properties, buildings located in urban and rural Conservation areas as well as park estates in Areas of Outstanding Natural beauty.

Trained in Domestic Energy Assessments to gather and input data to generate Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) reports and lodging Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to support design proposals. James is enrolled in the Retrofit Academy where he is training to become a Retrofit Coordinator.

Michaela is a community-led homes accredited advisor and Chartered Surveyor, and is Founder and Managing Director of Pointe Michel which provides ethical real estate advice for developers seeking a fairer housing system.

She is an advisor to a diverse range of community led housing hubs, community groups, developers and private consultancy firms, and a former Director of CCH.

Jay is a Chartered Surveyor and a member of RICS. She has an extensive and diverse range of development and housing delivery experience across both public and private sectors, and especially with community led housing supporting people in delivering for their community.

Jay is also a community-led homes accredited advisor and project manager, and former Director and Vice Chair of the Confederation of Co-operative Housing.

CCH Archivist

Martina is an artist and researcher in co-operative housing history. She has been a resident and active member of co-operatives for the past 15 years. Together with her neighbours, Martina has been building an archive for her own housing co-operative.

She is currently working with CCH to collect the oral history of the movement.

Martina’s interests are in archive building, co-operative housing history, participation, community cohesion and conflict resolution.

Delores has over 30 years’ experience in construction and housing, specialising in aftercare and defect resolution. She began her career as a trainee carpenter and joiner with Lewisham Council, building a strong foundation that underpins her practical, solutions-focused approach.

She has worked across London borough councils, housing associations, developers, and main contractors, delivering customer care services on mixed-tenure residential, commercial, health, and education projects.

Known for driving process improvements, she has implemented effective defect-tracking systems and contributed to reducing recurring issues through lessons learned and quality-focused reporting. Delores brings a collaborative mindset, strong commercial awareness, and a commitment to delivering positive outcomes.

Maria Moise

Maria Moise

Retrofit Co-ordinator

Maria has a Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture from the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT), is a trained Retrofit Coordinator and one of the expert authors of the AECB CarbonLite™️ Retrofit Coordination Course.

She is curious about the different ways buildings can be used throughout their life and how holistic design approaches can help future proof them. She runs an architecture practice based in York which specialises in existing buildings and helping people understand how to look after and retrofit their homes.

Claude Hendrickson

Claude Hendrickson MBE

Associate Consultant

Claude is an accredited community led housing advisor and a Community Land Trust (CLT) ambassador.

Claude has been actively involved professionally or voluntarily in his community since he was 14 in projects involving regeneration, housing and construction, education, youth clubs, youth mentoring, and NVQ (national Vocational Qualification)Training.

He was the project manager on the Frontline community self build scheme in Leeds (1996) which saw 12 unemployed Afro Carribean men and their families build new homes for themselves and has remained a passionate advocate for BAME groups in terms of housing, self build and training/employment. Claude is part of the Four Million Homes delivery team.
