Helping our CCH member co-operatives maintain safe, high-quality homes

Hello! Michaela and Jay here—your CCH Building Services team. We’re excited to introduce the CCH Building Services offering [Member login required], designed to help your co-operative navigate the latest housing regulations and maintain safe, well-managed homes, whether you are a Registered Provider co-operative or not.

With the introduction of the Safety and Quality Standard and the Consumer Standards by the Regulator of Social Housing, if your co-operative is a Registered Provider, it must ensure its properties meet new expectations for stock quality, decency, health & safety, repairs, and adaptations. Our services are tailored to help your co-operative stay compliant while making informed decisions about maintenance, financial planning, and long-term sustainability.

What have we been up to?

Over the past year, we’ve been working closely with CCH and its member co-operatives to refine our Building Services offering, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our sector. By listening to members, we’ve designed the following services:

  • assess stock condition to identify repair priorities
  • plan long-term maintenance with 30+ year preventative reports
  • improve energy efficiency through EPC assessments
  • strategically manage assets with financial planning and valuation services

We know that navigating these requirements can feel overwhelming, which is why we’ve designed our services to be clear, actionable, and tailored to your co-operative’s needs.

What support is available?

We offer a range of services to help your co-operative understand, plan, and act on your property needs:

  • stock condition surveys – professional inspections to assess safety, repairs, and future maintenance needs;
  • Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) – evaluations to guide energy efficiency improvements;
  • asset review plans – strategic financial analysis to optimize stock performance;
  • planned preventative maintenance reports – long-term repair planning to prevent costly emergency fixes;
  • financial planning – helping your co-operative manage stock investment without financial strain;
  • RICS Red Book valuations – property value assessments for financial planning and compliance;
  • general advice and brief scoping – expert support in navigating reports, as well as the regulatory requirements.
