The Awards are now closed.
We are really pleased to launch our Co-operative Housing Awards for 2020. We want to reward you for all the amazing things that you do, day in, day out, things that are amazing that we want people to hear about.
Our Awards will help to show the world how great housing co-operatives can be. They are open to all 180 of our members and will help us to blow your trumpet all over the world!!!
Breakthrough Housing Co-operative of the Year – Sponsored by North West Housing Services
Setting up new co-operatives or community mutual forms of housing isn’t easy is it!
We are looking for mutual or co-operatives who have started in the past two years to apply for this new award. Big or small we want to hear your positive messages about living as part of a co-operative housing community. What added benefit do you get from your organisation? What have you learnt? What challenges or obstacles have you overcome to make you who you are? If you had your time again what would you do differently?
If this sounds like you, have a go for this award and get some recognition for your hard work.
Innovative Housing Co-operative of the Year – Sponsored by Anthony Collins Solicitors
Have you come up with a different approach to solve your community based housing issues? How did the idea come about? What did you learn? Did it work first time, or did it need a reboot or refresh? Is the idea around policy practice, or construction?
We are looking for new fresh ideas to solving local problems so that we can shout about your success. If you’d like to shine, please make an application for this award so that we can showcase great thinking in our sector.
Housing Co-operator of the Year – Sponsored by Co-op Homes
Do you know someone who has dedicated many years to the co-operative or community mutual sector or to your co-op? Someone who is an inspirational leader who embodies the co-operative principles and values, is a mentor, co-operator or educator? Someone whose contributions have gone unrecognised for years?
We are looking for that person. Many people do stacks of great stuff for the sector. We want to recognise and promote these individuals who come from all walks of life. If you know someone who deserves recognition for their contributions to community mutual and or co-operative housing this award is for them. Please have a think and nominate that person. Make them smile!
