Local authorities & mutuality - Housing Needs, Mutual Solutions
The Commission on Co-operative & Mutual Housing has been set up to independently investigate the role that co-operative and mutual housing might play in national housing strategy. Chaired by Adrian Cole, the Director General of the Building Societies Association, the Commission brings together key representatives from the housing and co-operative sectors. All major political parties have expressed interest in receiving the Commission’s report, due to be launched in September 2009.
Special Commission hearing for local authority representatives
The Commission has arranged a special hearing for local authority members and officers to hear about mutual housing models and to give evidence to the Commission.
