Policy
A strategy discussion has been initiated by the CCH with the Co-operative Union, the UKCC and representatives of leaseholder resident management co-ops. The aim of this strategy discussion is to develop an overarching co-operation in housing strategy by the forthcoming Confederation of Co-operative Housing conference.
It is anticipated that key elements to this strategy will include:
Community Land Trusts
Pilot projects for Community Land Trusts are currently being drawn up in partnership with other organisations in Birmingham, Wessex, Suffolk and North Lancashire. The CCH is primarily involved in the Birmingham pilot, which is being jointly funded through Birmingham City Council and the Housing Corporation.
Stock transfer
The CCH has drafted a stock transfer strategy paper which it aims to discuss at the forthcoming CCH conference.
RSL - best practice in tenant control
The CCH continues to negotiate its IGP bid for funding for best practice in tenant control with the Housing Corporation. The programme appears to be gradually growing in its scope.
