Community Led Homes for all
10th & 11th May 2019
In an uncertain world, community led housing offers hope for the future.
Not since the 1980s have there been such opportunities opening up for our sector. People and communities are tomorrow’s builders and housing leaders – we need to ensure we take advantage of the opportunities available to our movement to develop community led homes for all.
Hear about the launch of our new Community Led Homes support programme and from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and Homes England about the Community Housing Fund. Funding is available to help housing co-ops and others develop new homes and to get people to support them to do it. Find out about new developments in Berlin and Canada; and have discussions with us about the practical ways your co-op or community led housing organisation could build more homes.
Hear from national homelessness charity Shelter about their report Building for our Future which identified what needs to be done to invigorate the social housing sector. And where else could you get the Housing Ombudsman, a solicitor, a repairs expert and an insurance expert all together in one room but at the CCH conference in the return of our ever popular Ask the Experts slot.
There will be the opportunity to network with many other housing co-op tenant members and professionals, along with the usual practical workshops aimed at helping you in your organisation. There will also be live entertainment after the gala dinner on the Saturday night.
The 25th Annual Conference of the Confederation of Co-operative Housing is an opportunity for the co-operative housing sector to come together to discuss how people are going to build new homes and grow their communities.
The Conference this year is again being held at Chesford Grange, Kenilworth between Leamington Spa and Warwick. All the accommodation and conference rooms are within the same building.
Chesford Grange Hotel sits in the heart of Warwickshire, set amidst 17 acres of beautiful gardens and woodlands. It is a bright and modern hotel with full disability access, free Wi-Fi, free parking and is Green Tourism Accredited. Delegates will have access to the spa and health club for the duration of the conference.
It has easy access to the Midlands’ motorway network, is accessible from the M40 and M69 and is only a few miles away from both Warwick and Leamington Spa rail stations. For those travelling by train, we will run a free shuttle service from Leamington Spa on the Friday night and Sunday morning.
The closing date for applications is Friday 26th April. We will require full conference fees to be paid prior to the conference. The fee includes two nights accommodation, attendance at all sessions, breakfast, lunch, evening meals, and entertainment!
We regret that bookings may only be cancelled prior to 16th April. Any cancellations after this date will be charged in full.
