CCH Bulletin Summer 2000
Conference Costs
The CCH has now held dozens of regional and national conferences to bring housing co-ops together, and promote co-operative housing to a wide audience. The conferences have been a resounding success in putting co-operative housing onto the agenda.
While the conferences have been increasingly smoothly run, and the quality of the venues has improved, the CCH has managed to keep costs comparatively low.
Unfortunately, this means that the conferences barely break even. If the conferences were to generate a small surplus then this would contribute to ensuring that the CCH is able to sustain its campaigning work as the voice of housing co-ops in England and Wales.
The CCH wants to know if co-ops would be prepared to pay higher delegate fees to CCH conferences, while of course retaining bursaries for delegates from organisations with tight budgets. Please let us know your views. Would you be happy to pay more, knowing that it would go to a good cause? Or would an increase put you off coming? You can make your views known by emailing us at info@cch.coop.
